The Grande Hotel at the Reunion Resort shines like a picturesque beacon. From our balcony, we could survey the land, seeing golf courses, Disney, and of course – the gorgeous natural surroundings of Central Florida that we so greatly admire. It was splendid to watch Theme Park fireworks in the distance from our balcony. The Grande Hotel is only a portion of the wonderful and large grounds that constitute Reunion Resort.

The grounds of Reunion Resort are extensive. Reunion Resort boasts three signature golf courses, each designed by one of the “greats” – Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Tom Watson. You are not far away from the Theme Parks, but there is so much to do at Reunion that you likely find yourself spending the majority of your time here. There is a Water Park at the Resort (not to mention 11 pools!), extensive grounds to cycle, tennis courts, and more. There are multiple dining options as well, such as Eleven, Forte, The Clubhouse Grille, Grande Lobby Sushi Bar, and more.

At the Reunion Resort Water Park, relax on the lazy river after taking refreshing ride down a water slide, play a lawn game or two, and grab a bite to eat. If you prefer, take a dip in the rooftop pool at the Grande which is located next to Eleven.

The Spa at Reunion Resort

IMG_9490

The boutique Spa of Reunion Resort is quaint and reminiscent of an island hideaway, and the splendid treatments offered are plentiful. The Spa offers a range of massage, facial, and body treatments. Salon services such as hair and nail treatments are also available. Don’t think you have enough time for a treatment? Think again. The Spa at Reunion Resort offers quick service treatments for pedicures, facials, and massages. There are even services focused on “Just for Men”, such as the Urban Cleanse Men’s Facial and Man-Cure & Pedi-Cure.

We experienced the fabulous Reunion Signature Escape Massage by our masseuses Susan and Tara. This Signature Treatment is a custom massage, which means your masseuse will truly focus on any areas that you believe need extra attention. The massage includes a warm oil scalp massage which certainly sends you into that “Zen” place. As a bonus, the warm oils nourish your scalp and hair. In addition, you have the choice of either a hand or food treatment. Our experience at the Spa Reunion Resort was terrific with remarkable service.

Our Villa at the Grande

IMG_9494

There are plush one and two-bedroom Estate Villas at the Grande, which is the 11 story hotel located in the heart of Reunion Resort. The commodious Living Room of our Villa was inviting, where we could relax, chat, and experience the Bose Sound System from our Flat Screen TV.  Both the Living room and each bedroom had a Flat Screen TV.

A lovely Dining Area is located between the Living Room and Kitchen. The Kitchen was fully equipped, and there was a washer/dryer in our unit as well. The superlative Kitchen and amenities within our Villa were features that enhanced our stay by providing the option to “be at home” or “go out” for the evening.

Our private balcony, with a table and chairs, was the perfect place to unwind for the evening as we watched the Theme Park fireworks in the distance.

With a nightly turn down service that can’t be beat, our two-bedroom Villa consisted of a Master Suite with a King-size bed and an en-suite spacious bathroom, complete with double sinks, a wet room, and large bath.

The second bedroom had two Double Beds and an en-suite bathroom with double sinks, a bathtub, and shower. Although you are on vacation, you will feel like you are returning home when you turn in for the night.

Dining at Forte

We enjoyed Italian cuisine at Forte, located at the Reunion Grande. Our server Noor was exceptional. He went out of his way to help us navigate the menu and thoroughly enjoy our evening at Forte.

IMG_8526

To start our meal, we ordered the Meatballs Forte and Antipasto. The Meatballs Forte are House Made Meatballs, with Marinara, Ricotta Cheese, and Basil. The Antipasto was a impressive board of Salami, Capicola, Prosciutto, Bruschetta, Marinated Olives, Parmesan, Ricotta Salata, Grilled Artichokes, and Melon. Next, we ordered the Tri Colore Salad with Arugula, Radicchio, Endive, and Red Wine Vinaigrette. This light salad was the perfect palate cleanser between our Appetizers and Entrées.

For our Entrées, we chose the Chicken Marsala and Chicken Parmesan. The Chicken Marsala, a delightful dish with Mushrooms, Sweet Marsala Wine, and Market Vegetables was accompanied with Gnocchi Marinara. The popular Chicken Parmesan, with Fresh Mozzarella, Basil, Pomodoro, and a side of Gnocchi a la Crema was appetizing in both taste and sight.

For Dessert, we were spoiled with the House Made Mango Sorbet and Tiramisu Classico. Both desserts were simply delicious. The House Made Mango Sorbet is served with Biscotti. The Tiramisu Classico possesses layers of sweet Mascarpone Cream, Lady Fingers soaked in Coffee and Dark Rum, and Chocolate Drizzle.

At the close of our meal, we were given exquisite Port, to which the name escapes us. We recommend finishing your evening with a Cognac or Port available at Forte.

Our stay at Reunion Resort was exciting and relaxing. Like a beautiful beacon the Reunion Resort shines, providing an exemplary picture of what it means to be an outstanding Resort.
